Gap Guarantee & Refund Policy

The Gap Guarantee

If your Market Diagnostic doesn't identify at least $5,000 in addressable revenue gaps — measured against the industry benchmarks documented in your report — within 14 days of delivery, you have two options:

Option 1 — Free Re-Run (recommended)

I re-perform the entire diagnostic with revised methodology at no additional cost. You keep both the original report and the revised report. This is the strongest remedy because you get two independent analyses for the price of one.

Option 2 — Refund (less platform fees)

Refund of $1,347 via Gumroad. This reflects the $1,497 purchase price less Gumroad's non-refundable platform processing fee of approximately 10% (Gumroad keeps their fee on refunded transactions; this is standard for digital marketplaces).

The diagnostic itself remains yours to keep.

How to Request

Email hello@builtontenth.com within 14 days of report delivery with:

  • The order number from your Gumroad receipt
  • The remedy you prefer: free re-run, or refund
  • For free re-run: any specific gap framing or methodology adjustment you want applied
  • For refund: confirmation that you understand $1,347 will be returned (not the full $1,497)

I will respond within 5 business days. Refunds (when chosen) are processed via Gumroad and typically appear on your card within 5-10 additional business days depending on your card issuer.

What "Addressable Revenue Gap" Means

An addressable revenue gap is a quantified shortfall versus an industry benchmark, where:

  • The benchmark is documented from a public source (BLS, NOAA, Census, vendor data, or industry research)
  • The gap is calculable in dollars using your operation's call volume, average ticket, or revenue baseline
  • The gap is something you could close with operational changes (training, process, technology, marketing) — not something requiring a fundamental business pivot

"Addressable" is the key word. The diagnostic identifies the gap; you decide whether and how to close it. We don't promise you'll capture the gap, only that we identified it.

What's Not Covered

  • Refund requests filed more than 14 days after report delivery
  • Requests where the diagnostic identified $5,000+ in addressable gaps but you disagreed with the methodology after delivery (use the free re-run instead)
  • Refund of Gumroad's platform fee — Gumroad's terms make their fee non-refundable on refunded transactions; this fee is disclosed above and at checkout
  • Requests for partial work product or intermediate drafts — the deliverable is the final written report

Chargebacks

If you intend to dispute a charge, please contact me first via email — I will work to resolve any concern through the Gap Guarantee process before you escalate. Initiating a chargeback without first attempting a Gap Guarantee remedy is contrary to the spirit of this policy and may affect your future eligibility.
